The immigration lawyer who represented first lady Melania Trump and her parents told CNN on Friday that President Donald Trump’s attacks on “chain migration” are “unconscionable.”
Michael Wildes confirmed that the first lady sponsored her parents for green cards in a process known as family reunification, which critics have assailed as “chain migration.”
Wildes said the process is actually “a beautiful bedrock of immigration law” that inspires Americans to do more for their country, knowing that their loved ones can join them.
